Emerald Wedding is a team of wedding photographers, wedding videographers and a wedding content creator working across Ireland. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and our services, why we use it and the choices you have. We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts.

What we collect

Enquiries: when you use our contact form or email us, we receive the details you share, such as your names, email address, phone number, wedding date, venue and message.

Bookings: if you book us, we also keep the details needed for your contract, payments and the planning of your wedding day.

Your wedding photos and films: we create images and video of your wedding as part of the service you book.

Website data: our website is hosted by Squarespace, which may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser, device and the pages you visit. Non-essential cookies are only used if you accept them in the cookie banner.

How we use your data

We use your data to reply to your enquiry and check our availability, to prepare and carry out your booking, to deliver your photos, films and content, to keep business and tax records, and to understand how our website is used so we can improve it. We only share photos or films from your wedding on our website, blog or social media with your permission.

Legal basis

We process your data to take steps towards and perform a contract with you, to meet our legal obligations, on the basis of our legitimate interests in running and improving our business, and with your consent where consent is required (for example for non-essential cookies or featuring your wedding). You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We only share it with trusted providers who help us run our business, such as our website host (Squarespace), email, online gallery and file delivery services, and our accountant. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, in which case appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses apply.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to reply and follow up with you. Client records are kept for as long as Irish tax and accounting law requires. Photos and films are archived for a limited time after delivery so we can help if you lose your copies, so please keep your own backups.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability and to withdraw consent.
